The bright and dark face of La Defense business center in Paris
I worked more than 7 years in La Défense which is the major business district of the Paris Metropolitan Area. Life there is really tense, stressful and fast! Looking back I can say that living there is not living. It’s surviving…
But this place is a dream for all photographers thanks to all the skyscrapers (71 in this area) and malls all around this place. The place is lively during the week with more than 200 000 workers and 20 000 inhabitants but in Week end… it’s almost empty and could be really scary when the night arrives as this photo lets you imagine…
The place isn’t really dangerous, but with all this dim lights and shadows everywhere, all encounters are a bit scary… lol!
I went there with my cousin in late 2008 for a full day to practice street photography (probably the first time in my whole life that I practice Street photography) and we enjoyed that time together!
I’ve many pictures of this place in my archives, but all in JPG format and not RAW… I’m going to post some of them in the following weeks!
French photographer, but you prefer to post in english. I would be happy to see other photos about La Defense. I agree life is very stressfull there.
Et oui, en anglais. Bon…
Thank you for following my blog. I hope you will get some pleasure from it. Liked your “Paris walk” very much. Des.
Hi! I don’t know why but I was pretty sure that I was already following your blog! But when I checked yesterday I wasn’t 🙁
Mistake rectified 🙂
